2023 Season Recap
The 2023 season was a season of steady improvement for the Bears who had many contributing seniors on the roster. Seniors Eli Blanton, John Ryan Hurley, Espn Evans, Brady Adams and Ryan Gibson would each play their final games as Bears. The Bears improved from 8 wins the season before while battling tough injuries and a competitive schedule all season long to finish with 10 wins during the 2023 season. The Bears would pick up their first win of the season in game three on the road at Lee High, with probably their most exciting win on the season coming against district rival Wise Central in the District Tournament Consolation Game. The Bears would score 5 runs in the top of the 7th of that game to erase an 8-4 deficit. Senior Ryan Gibson pitched 3 innings of no hit ball in relief for the win to clinch the #2 seed in the regional tournament for the bears. The Bears season would come to an end in the region quarterfinals against eventual state tournament participant Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.
