2024 Season Recap
The 2024 season saw the Union Baseball team start nearly 3 freshman, 4 sophomores and 2 juniors each game. With no seniors and just the two juniors, the Bears would finish the season 12-9. The Bears played Abingdon, the eventual district champion to a 6-2 game early in the season. The Bears would also defeat the #1 2A team from the district John Battle 7-5 at home in the middle of April. The Bears would also take thrilling 4-3 and 3-2 wins over eventual 1A State Runner up Chilhowie. The Bears would be the #4 seed in both the district and regional tournaments. The Bears season would come to an end on the road in the first round of the Region 2D Tournament at Doc Adams field in the bottom of the 7th inning against the eventual region champion and 2A State Runner-Up Lebanon Pioneers 1-0.
